Refund Policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026
This policy explains what happens when a payment to xKiro is refunded, when we agree to a refund, and how to ask for one. It applies alongside our Terms of Service; where this policy is more specific about refunds, this policy applies.
1. What this policy covers
xKiro sells two things: subscription plans billed each cycle, and prepaid wallet credit used for pay-as-you-go requests. This policy covers both.
Subscription plans — charged at the start of each billing cycle until you cancel renewal.
Wallet top-ups — money you add in advance, then spend request by request at the price shown for each model.
Promotional credit (gifts, referral rewards, and the unused portion credited when you upgrade a plan) is not covered, because you never paid for it. See section 4.
2. Refunds are issued as wallet credit
This is the most important thing on this page. When we agree to a refund, we credit your xKiro wallet. We do not send the money back to your card, bank account or payment method.
The credit is added as deposited funds — the same kind of balance you get when you top up with your own money. That means you can use it in full for either of these, with no restriction:
Pay-as-you-go requests, at the price shown for each model.
Buying a new plan or upgrading your current one.
Deposited funds do not expire, so there is no deadline to use the credit. It is not promotional credit, and none of the limits that apply to gifts or referral rewards apply to it.
Cancelling renewal is separate and always available from your dashboard. It stops the next charge; it does not refund the cycle you are in, and you keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for.
3. When we issue a refund
We issue wallet credit without argument in these cases. You do not need to justify anything beyond telling us what happened:
We charged you incorrectly — a duplicate charge, the wrong amount, or a metering error on our side that billed you for usage you did not have.
You were charged after cancelling, or a renewal ran that you had already stopped.
A payment was made from your account without your authorisation.
If the fault is ours, we do not wait for you to notice. Where we detect an incorrect charge ourselves, we correct it and tell the affected customers.
Outside these cases, amounts you have paid are not refunded, because access and usage are delivered immediately and cannot be returned. You are still welcome to write to us and explain your situation — we read every message.
4. What we cannot credit back
Usage you have already consumed. Requests are served by third-party model providers who charge us at the moment your request runs; that cost is real and already spent.
The remaining quota of a plan you simply stopped using during a cycle you paid for.
Promotional credit, referral rewards, and credit added to your wallet when you upgraded a plan. None of it was purchased, so there is nothing to return. It may carry an expiry date; deposited funds do not expire.
When you upgrade a plan, the new plan is charged in full and the unused value of the old one is added to your wallet as credit for pay-as-you-go. That value goes to the wallet by design; it is not a refund and is not returned to your card.
5. How to request a refund
Write to us through the Contact page from the email address on the account, and include: the date and amount of the charge, and a short description of what went wrong. The transaction history in your dashboard shows every charge with its date and amount.
We aim to reply within 2 business days. If we agree, the credit is added to your wallet straight away — there is no bank transfer to wait for, and the new balance is visible in your dashboard immediately.
6. When money does go back to your payment method
Our own policy is wallet credit, but three situations are outside our control and can return money to your original payment method instead:
Consumer law that applies to you requires it — see section 7.
You raise a chargeback and your bank or card network decides in your favour — see section 8.
Our payment provider, which is the merchant of record for your purchase, issues a refund under its own buyer terms. The charge may appear on your statement under that provider's name.
When a payment is refunded to your payment method in one of these ways, the purchase is reversed rather than just the money movement: any credit that payment had added to your wallet is removed at the same time, and any referral commission it generated is reversed. If that credit has already been spent, we will tell you what remains and settle it with you.
7. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under the consumer law that applies to you. Where that law gives you a right to a refund in money, that right applies and we will honour it regardless of the wallet-credit rule above.
Consumers in the EEA and the United Kingdom may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services. Because our service is made available immediately, that right may be affected once you begin using it. If you believe a right of withdrawal applies to your purchase, contact us and we will handle it under the applicable law rather than under this policy.
8. Chargebacks
If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us before asking your bank to reverse it. We can almost always resolve it faster than a chargeback, which typically takes weeks and is decided by the card networks rather than by us.
While a chargeback is open on your account, we may suspend access until it is resolved, because the disputed funds are held by the card network during that time.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and the version in force at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to it.
